Substitution
Substitution of hazardous chemicals
Working with carcinogenic substances requires documented considerations to have been made concerning substitution. The requirement means that you must make active and documented efforts to substitute carcinogenic chemicals with less hazardous chemicals.
Working towards improving the chemical working environment, you can think about this every time you are to work with classified substances and materials. This is an integrated part of the chemical APV. See menu item Chemical APV.
If you would like to share some of your experiences with substituting chemicals with the rest of LIFE, please write to occupational health and safety consultant Maj-Britt K. Stærfeldt at .
