Workplace assessment
The University of Copenhagen conducts a workplace assessment every three years to establish how the physical and psychological working environment is perceived by employees.
The Faculty Collaboration Committee and the Faculty Occupational Health and Safety Committee plan the workplace assessments in cooperation with HR & Organisation.
The workplace assessments are divided into the following stages:
- Examining the working environment
- Assessing and prioritising any necessary initiatives
- Setting out action plans for improvements and carrying them out
Following up to ensure the desired improvements have been made
The workplace assessments are divided into two main areas. One concerns the physical working environment and the other job satisfaction and mental health in the workplace. Both areas are explored through questionnaires.
The questionnaire designed to investigate the psychological working environment is the same for all faculties. This makes it possible to compare the results across faculties.
The physical working environment is investigated through a questionnaire that is adapted to the working conditions at the individual faculties.
The next workplace assessment will be carried out in 2012. Questionnaires will also be available in English. Please feel free to ask your occupational health and safety group for the results of the most recent workplace assessment and about the action plans laid down in your area.
