Career planning
Traditionally 'career' means moving up in the organisational hierarchy. But career is much more than that. Career can also mean ongoing professional training and enhancement, job security, personal development, change for the sake of change…
What is career to you? Right now? In five years time?
LIFE’s MUS concept includes reflexions on the employees career possibilities. For you as an employee MUS is an occasion to think forward:
• What wishes do you have for you future career?
• What can you and your manager do to promote your career, short term/long term?
• If your employment is time limited, what do you wish to do career-wise when your employment ends?
Discuss your reflexions with your manager at MUS or make an appointment simply to discuss your career plans. You can also make use of your scientific network for sparring – and you can help colleagues sort out their career plans too!
Feel free to contact Human Resources if you need advice on your career planning – especially concerning the possibilities in the Danish ‘Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities’.
