Computer glasses

If you need glasses because of computer work, you are entitled to computer glasses.

If you believe that you need computer glasses, you must have an eyesight test and subsequently it must be measured how your workstation is set up. Contact your department secretary who will provide a requisition which you must bring to the optician’s, Synoptik.

LIFE has signed a collaboration agreement with Synoptik which will carry out the test and the measurement.

The eyesight test may have two outcomes:

1) Maybe you simply need reading glasses or glasses to relieve eye strain. And if the strength of these is identical to the one needed for computer work, your glasses will, under the law, be private glasses for which you must pay yourself.

2) If, on the other hand, the strengths of your reading glasses and your computer glasses differ, you are entitled to computer glasses for which LIFE will pay.

The department/centre will pay for the eyesight test, the measurement and the computer glasses.
