resignation, notice of
If, as an employee covered by a collective agreement, you wish to resign from your job, you must normally give one month’s written notice to expire at the end of a month.
If, for example, you want to resign on 1 March, HR must receive your letter of resignation by 31 January at the latest.
The letter of resignation must be signed by your immediate superior/head of department before being submitted to HR.
The same guidelines apply to public servants; public servants must, however, give three months’ notice to terminate their employment.
For both terms of notice, LIFE can, subject to separate application, accept a shorter term of notice in specific situations.
