News from FN
Do you go through the Marble Hall these days and wonder why there is a
coffin in the middle of it all? Perhaps you have read the leaflets
around the coffin, perhaps not. Maybe you haven?t got the faintest
idea what it is intended to draw attention to. Do not despair, here
comes an explanation.
The management at KU is currently in the process of planning a
restructuring of chemistry at KU. In this context, an international
panel consisting of three professors created a report with
recommendations on how to do so.
As it looks now, there is a great risk that a part of our future
chemistry teaching will take place at the Faculty of Science or at
best with teachers from there. Both, I and many others active student
in this case would be very damaging for LIFE, and especially for the
Natural Resource education and several graduate programs under the FN.
Therefore, I urge YOU to attend the dialogue meeting with the rector
of KU on Monday 23 May at 12.15 in meeting room R547 (fifth floor in
the building at the Marble Hall) to support the concerns we have for
our future chemistry teaching and research at LIFE.
Our voice is incredibly important in this case and together we are strong!!
Best regards

News from the interest-groups
Spring is truly upon us, and it is often synonymous with brisk
activity in the FŃs interest groups. The Interest groups are to us
students a unique opportunity to enhance our professionalism in the
area that interests us, not least the ability to have a great social
community. FN gives financial support to activities in the interest
groups and the budget has a total of DKK 54,000 kr. for this purpose. So
don't hesitate to bring your ideas for fun activities to life and seek
FN assistance to cover your expenses.

News from FNIS
Since the last newsletter, FNIS has been arranging Bingo at A-vej and the
May party at the lawn. The Bingo event was a great success with a lot of
gifts. The May party had to deal with changing weather, but that
didn't keep happy people from FN and FB away from the Ølympiade
(arranged by BISS) and cosy times at the lawn.
On 24 June, FN will be holding last party of the academic year: the
Summer Party, keep an eye at the mail for more info.
Kind regards
