Capacity building of developing countries via a PhD double degree

As of May 2011, LIFE is now offering a double PhD degree for candidates from one of LIFEs collaborating universities.

The PhD candidate will receive a PhD diploma from both the home university and LIFE. As a prerequisite the PhD programme at the collaborating home university must meet the standards of a Danish PhD programme. Furthermore the PhD candidate is expected to participate in courses, research or other PhD relevant activities at LIFE for a minimum period of 6 months.

The candidate will be provided with a co supervisor from LIFE throughout the whole period but especially for the time spent in Denmark.

The new opportunity of collaborating between universities is part of LIFEs capacity building and is especially targeted at partner universities in developing countries.
