Carlsberg Foundation

The Carlsberg Foundation awards grants for basic research in natural science, humanities and social sciences.

Deadline for applications is Saturday 1 October 2011 at 12.00.

Applications must be submitted online. The Carlsberg Foundation application form will be available from

1 September at 10.00 to 1 October 2011 at 12.00.

• postdoc projects (salaries/stipends)

• equipment

• publications related to projects supported by the Carlsberg Foundation

• research stays abroad

Clinical, technical and other application-oriented projects are normally not supported by the Carlsberg

Foundation (applied science).

The Carlsberg Foundation does not award grants for PhD scholars, except, in certain cases, for those included in a larger multi-year research project funded by the Foundation. Overhead is not granted for projects supported by the Carlsberg Foundation.
