Deans: Veterinary departments to join a new medical faculty

The Deans as well as the heads of department affected recommend that the four veterinary departments at LIFE become part of the new Faculty of Medicine.

 

The veterinary area should be part of a new medical faculty. This is the recommendation of the deans from the so-called "wet" faculties.

 

The recommendation means that the four veterinary departments remain together and avoid becoming split between two faculties. The veterinary medicine study programme may be profiled through a new School of Veterinary Medicine headed by a new associate dean. And University of Copenhagen should go for an AWMA accreditation according to American standards (American Veterinary Medical Association).
