15 Minutes of Brain- deadline prolonged
A battle for glory and cool cash
LIFE is once more inviting students to enter Hjerne for en Aften / 15 Minutes of Brain, a battle for glory and cool cash.
Who can participate?
BSc, MSc and PhD students, from LIFE, who have completed their thesis between 1 April 2010 and 1 October 2011 can sign up - New deadline 15 October 2011.
What can you win?
9 selected contestants, 3 from each category, will each have 10 minutes to present their project to the panel of judges; they will choose the winners. The panel of judges will be made up of external and internal experts.
DKK 10.000 in 10 minutes
The contestants will be battling for 3 main prizes, for each category of DKK 10.000, sponsored by Novo, Chr. Hansen and DLBR, to spend on a relevant academic purpose.
The criteria are:
1. Originality and scientific level ("Hjerne/Brain")
2. Dissemination ability, ie ability to get off the ground on a sober way
3. Innovation and application potential
4. Understanding the background for the project and the context it is part of
5. Coherence between project complexity and the analytical method used
6. What new knowledge have you generated and how it brings the project forward
The day of the battle: 15 December
Hjerne for en Aften / 15 Minutes of Brain is being held on 15 December in Aud. 3-01, starting at 2.30 pm. The event will end with a shared celebration at A-vej, to which all the contestants and audience are invited.
