Expert hearing on GMO
On Friday 29 October, Minister for Food, Henrik Høegh, will host a public hearing at LIFE- Faculty of Life Sciences at University of Copenhagen on the growing of genetically modified crops in Denmark.
How can the growing of genetically modified crops be organised to avoid that the crops are spread and mixed with non-GM crops? And which drawbacks and advantages does the growing of GM crops present?
These are the two main themes of the expert hearing which the Ministry of Food will be holding on the request of the Danish parliament, Folketinget. The hearing will be held at LIFE on Friday 29 October and will be hosted by Minister for Food, Henrik Høegh.

Please note that the first two speakers will speak in English with simultaneous interpretation into Danish. The remaining speakers will speak in Danish.
The hearing takes place:
On Friday 29 October at 9:30 – 15:00 (arrival and registration from 9:00)
at the Main Lecture Hall (‘Festauditoriet’) at LIFE- Faculty of Life Sciences, Bülowsvej 17, Frederiksberg C

Those specially interested in the issue, will have an oportunity to try their hand at genetically modifying a plant.
