Lars Nørgaard, Head of Department of Food Science resigns
Lars Nørgaard resigns from his position as Head of Department of Food Science on 30 September because he has accepted a senior management position at Foss. Foss provides solutions for analysis and quality control of food, agricultural, pharmaceutical and chemical products. As Senior Manager with Foss, Lars Nørgaard will have overall, global responsibility for the developement and implementation of new chemometric methods that can strenghten food research and the food trade globally with Denmark in the lead.
In connection with Lars Nørgaard's resignation, Dean Per Holten-Andersen states:
"Since Lars was employed at KVL in 1993, he has greatly contributed to strenghtening the food research area at LIFE by creating research results that have been published in some of the world's most highly esteemed scientific journals. Thus, the research group Quality and Technology is today one of the world leaders in its field. At the same time, he has linked food research even closer to the food and pharmaceutical industries.
There is no doubt that Lars will be missed by his collagues and collaboration partners for his great human capacity and his ability to create motivation and a positive atmosphere. Already at this point, I would like to thank Lars for the huge work he has done for Department of Food Science. Fortunately, we will all get a chance to wish him all the best with his new challenges at a farewell reception which will be announced later."
Professor Richard Ipsen will be acting head of Department from 1 October until a new Head of Department takes office.
