Communication prize to outspoken and committed economist
Henrik Zobbe, PhD in agricultural politics and Head of Department at Institute of Food and Resource Economics at LIFE- Faculty of Life Sciences is awarded LIFE’s Communication Prize for his excellent contribution to communication.
He is an open, honest and frank communicator of issues related to food and agriculture and often and willingly engages in debates with the business world, directly or in relevant media. Moreover, he is very active giving lectures to upper secondary school students visiting the Faculty.
LIFE has always focussed on solving the challenges of the surrounding community. One of the current and very important challenges is how to feed the world’s population of soon 9 billion people? How can the important aspects of economics and politics be brought into the debate? And how will the global challenges affect Denmark and the Danish agricultural and food industries? These are the questions Henrik Zobbe eagerly debates with relevant people. Henrik Zobbe is therefore awarded LIFE’s communication prize in recognition of his outstanding contribution.
The prize was presented by the Dean Per Holten-Andersen.
The prize is presented each year at LIFE’s anniversary in March. It is awarded to a member of staff or a student who is making an extraordinary contribution to the University's communicationwith non-scientific stakeholders, e.g. potential students, businesses or the general public.
