Who sets the exam dates?

Study and Students’ Affairs sets the exam dates for courses involving a written exam in a lecture room. Exams are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in the exam week (last week of the block).

The exam dates are set for one block at a time (see deadlines) and are published in the course description.

For other forms of examination, exam dates, dates when assignments and projects must be submitted, etc. must be posted on CampusNet – if possible no later than two weeks before the exam is held.

When placing exams, the students' other classes and exams should be taken into account.

We are aware that it may be difficult for the departments to coordinate several exams for the individual student. Please keep a close dialogue with the students to avoid problems.

If, as an exception, exams are held outside the exam week and these require the same facilities as written exams in lecture rooms, these exams must be expected to be held Friday afternoon or on Saturdays as rooms are urgently needed for other teaching purposes.

Study and Students' Affairs must be contacted immediately at the start of the block about the practical planning.
