Use of PCs at exams
The course responsible can enter into an agreement with Study and Students Affairs' to allow the students to bring their own laptops to an exam as an aid. The students cannot answer their exam on the laptop neither by print nor electronically.
We can inform the students of any limitations in access to internet or communications, but we are not able to monitor the students at all times.
If it is desirable to minimise the communication between the students and others, this can be done by, for instance, varying the exam questions or basing the exam on individual assignments/project reports or written material that is not handed out until the exam or by creating such a time pressure at the exam that the students do not have the time to or will be interested in communicating with their fellow students or others who have knowledge of the academic area in question.
If you would like to conduct an exam where the students are using their own laptop computers, please contact Ane Mette Holmsten (anh@life.ku.dk, extension 32379) with a view to the further planning of the exam. Before the exam is conducted, the examination method may have to be approved by the Study Board.
Planning and contact should take place before course start.
