Students run for Africa - 15.05.2008
Around 50 students and employees from the Faculty of Life Sciences will be running the Copenhagen Marathon on Sunday 18 May. At the same time they will be running for Africa.
For each kilometre completed, their sponsors will donate DKK 500 to help African students come to Denmark to study one of the international programmes at the Faculty of Life Sciences (LIFE).
The LIFE runners hope to be able to collect DKK 20,000. The money will be put to good use this autumn as grants for a handful of African students who will thereby be able to come to Denmark to study at the Faculty of Life Sciences.
The sponsors are Novo Nordisk and HedeDanmark.
More information on the run and the distribution of the grants from student of Natural Resources at the Faculty of Life Sciences and organiser of the sponsored run, Adam Bank-Lentz on tel 50 57 22 80, or Head of Communication at the Faculty of Life Sciences, Jacob Søby Bang on tel 26 88 97 33.
