Popular campus café opens for the summer - 31.03.2009

LIFE's campus café, café Væksthuset, that was last year voted the best new café in Copenhagen, opens again on 1 April.

The café is situated in an old refurbished greenhouse in beautiful surroundings at Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Copenhagen. Last year it was a very popular place for students and citizens of Frederiksberg to enjoy a hot coffee or a cold beer with a sandwich or plate of antepasti.

 

This year in addition to last year's popular menu, the cafe will also serve various dishes at reasonable prices and with discounts for students.

 

The café opens at 12 noon on 1 April when there will be live music and snacks. It will be open all summer and will house various events and exhibitions.  You can read more about the café and the various events (in Danish) at www.cafe.life.ku.dk

 

The opening hours of the café are:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 9:00-20:00

Thursday and Friday: 9:00-22:00

Saturday:10:00-22:00

Sunday: 10:00-20:00

 

 

  

The café ”Væksthuset”, the Danish name for greenhouse, is situated in the protected garden of Frederiksberg Campus. Entrance from Thorvaldsensvej.  The café is sponsored by Danish Agricultural Advisory Service and run by students at LIFE - the Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Copenhagen.
