The hall of residence Bikuben Kollegiet was ready for the first students to move in at the end of August 2006. The artist Viera Collaro has created a very exciting light installation for the lobby of the hall. This hall of residence represents architectural innovation and a modern approach to building. Bikuben Kollegiet is located in Amager, an upcoming area with several new student halls and the Amager Campus of University of Copenhagen. You are close to both the inner city and the wonderful new Amager beach with a view to Sweden.

Type of Accommodation

The building consists of 6 floors and contains approximately 100 studio flats. LIFE has reserved 4 rooms in this hall of residence, the rest of the rooms are rented out to international students from other institutions and to Danish students.
The building contains a number of common rooms, such as gym, laundry room, group rooms and lounge, as well as terraces and a party room. Each floor has a common kitchen and lounge, as well as a storage room for each resident.

 

Rooms

All rooms are studio flats of approximately 22 square metres.

 

Bathroom

Each room has a private bathroom.

Kitchen

Each room has a private kitchenette with kitchen utensils provided.

Laundry

Laundry facilities (washers and dryers) are available in the building.

Internet Connection and TV

Internet connection and basic cable TV connection are available in each room. No TV in the room.

Transportation

Bikuben Kollegiet is located approx. 30 minutes from LIFE by public transportation. By bike, LIFE is approx. 20 minutes away.

Parking

The hall of residence has its own parking garage underneath the building.
