Exchange Opportunities for Veterinary Medicine Students

Available courses at LIFE
The Faculty of Life Sciences (LIFE) at University of Copenhagen has the following options for Veterinary Medicine students from other universities:
Basic requirements
- You must be a veterinary student.
- You must be nominated by your home university as an exchange student.
Please discuss how to go about being nominated with the study abroad staff at the international office of your home university. Please read as well the overview of the application process for exchange students applying to LIFE.
Applications deadlines
- Fall semester May 1
- Spring semester October 1
- Summer clinics May 15
Tuition fees
- Students from partner universities DO NOT pay a tuition fee
- Students from non-partner universities MUST PAY the tuition fee, which is approximately 210 Danish kroner per ECTS for EU citizens and 1,317 Danish kroner per ECTS for non-EU citizens.
Semester and block structure at LIFE
The faculty semesters are spring (February – June) and fall (September – January). Furthermore, LIFE uses a block (quarter) structure, which means that each semester is divided into two blocks with courses running in each block.
Transportation to the Taastrup campus
There is a shuttle bus service from the Frederiksberg campus to LIFE’s experimental farm and the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Large Animals, which are located in Taastrup, 18 km outside Copenhagen. The bus service is free of charge and is available Monday-Friday. The trip takes approximately 40 minutes.
