About Student Services
Student Services offers:
- study and career guidance for the faculty's students (personal enquiry and by telephone and email)
- collective events with focus on for instance the bachelor project and master thesis, study and internship possibilities outside of LIFE, reading and note taking techniques and job applications.
- information and guidance for individuals who are considering applying for admission to one of the study programmes offered by the faculty.
Anchoring at LIFE
Student Services is anchored in the faculty's central administration as part of the office "Study and Students' Affairs." To insure a good contact between Student Services and study environments at the faculty, there is a representative from Student Services appointed at every meeting in the study commitee and the three board of studies.
Guidance - not case working
The staff at Student Services are not case workers and do not have influence in cases concerning dispensation or other disciplinary measures. Appointments in or contact with Student Services are not registered, and no information about the individual student is forwarded to professors or other units of the Study and Students' Affairs, unless the students wants it. Guidance at Student Services is always an offer to the individual student - never a demand.
