Decide what you want to do!
In order to get the most out of your stay abroad, it is important that you consider what the purpose of your stay should be. Are you going abroad to study at another university? To do subjects that are not available at the Faculty of Life Sciences? Or to do fieldwork? Would you like to experience a different culture? Or improve your language skills? Where and how can you do that?
There are a number of sources available to help you find out where you want to go:
- Read the lists of LIFE's partner universities. Check the list of focus partners to see which universities are recommended in your subject area.
- Ask teaching staff – they may be cooperating with a university in your particular field of interest.
- Ask fellow students who have studied abroad – personal experiences can be helpful.
- Visit Student Services. Here you will find a library with information material and course catalogues from the faculty’s partner universities. There is also a catalogue of evaluations submitted by students at the faculty who have studied abroad.
