Transfer agreement for BSc Programme in Horticultural Sciences (students admitted prior to 2007)
If you have any questions regarding this transfer agreement do not hesitate to contact Camilla Volden Van .
All BSc Horticulture students admitted before September 2007 are transferred to the new curriculum. Transition rules for the program (the transfer arrangements) have been drawn up for the transfer. The transition rules ensure that the transfer to the 2007-curricula does not extend the time of study unnecessarily for the individual student who has followed the study plan. The transfer arrangements include rules on how old courses can substitute new courses.
Students admitted in 2006 or earlier, who at the time of transfer in Sept. 2007 (incl. re-exam of block 4 courses from spring 2007) have
-
passed less than 60 ECTS, must pass new mandatory courses according to the entire list (1st, 2nd and 3rd year) below. Old courses passed may substitute according to the list.
-
passed between 60 and 120 ECTS, must pass new second- third year mandatory courses according to the list below. Old courses passed may substitute according to the list.
-
passed more than 120 ECTS, do not have to fulfill any mandatory course requirements, except completing their BSc project.

** The new Tema-Plantevidenskab does not cover the Ecology curriculum, but the ecology course was also a thematic course (project-work) as is the Tema-Plantevidenskab, therefore if the Ecology course has already been taken, there is no requirement to take Tema-Plantevidenskab.
Students admitted in 2006, who have not had the chance to follow any ecology course, are encouraged to take either LBIB10171 Naturressourcer og økologi (15p) or Almen Økologi (KU-Nat) or as an English alternative they may apply for individual exemption to follow the Msc course LBIB10171 Applied Ecology.
Students, who find that these transfer rules create an unintended extension of study period, should contact the Student Advisory Office for help on solving the problems. If no solution can be found, the student will be eligible for an individual exemption upon application to the Study Committee (NSN).
Non-Scandinavian Horticulture students admitted on either the DSH or the KVL English language BSc curricula, have the right to be assessed / examined in English on courses taught in Danish that are either mandatory or are prerequisites for later courses in their study plan. Students, who want to utilize this right, should inform the course-responsible in writing no later than at the 1st deadline of course registration (see life.ku.dk>…>For students>Teaching>Deadlines). Course-responsibles are not required to provide separate English study material, but are requested to indicate an alternative English textbook, if the textbook used is Danish.
On mandatory, Danish language courses, non-Scandinavian Horticulture students admitted on either the DSH or the KVL English language BSc curricula also have the right to a student tutor for 3 hours per week for each mandatory course (possibly shared with other non-Scandinavian students on the course), to help with course materials, exercises etc. in Danish.
In order to receive this tutorial assistance, eligible students should apply to the Study Director, Charlotte Bjergegaard, before 1 December 2009 for block 3 and 4 (2010) courses and before 1 June 2010 for block 1 and 2 courses.
